When he returned to his dorm room, he found a comic book owned by his roommate Ganke which showed the origin of Spider-Man after he was bitten by a radioactive pider and began to experience the same things as Miles. Miles also discovered that he could walk on walls and on the ceiling. He had an awkward encounter with a girl he admired at his new school who introduces herself "Wanda", but then Miles accidentally got his fingers stuck to her hair while trying to hit on her and she had to shear part of it off. ĭuring the following day, Miles undewent a bizarre series of changes, including a growth spurt and the ability to adhere to materials and surfaces. While at the tunnel, Miles was bitten by a Radioactive Spider labeled " 42," which he quickly and nonchalantly smacked and killed. Aaron led Miles to an abandoned subway terminal, showing him a canvas for Miles to freely graffiti and express himself as a way to release stress. One day, as school stressed Miles out, he went out to visit Aaron. His closeness with Aaron and general attitude towards academics drove a wedge between Miles and his father, especially when he won a scholastic contest that enrolled him in the Brooklyn Visions Academy, as Miles was very reluctant to change schools. Growing up to be a friendly, carefree, and awkward teenager, Miles formed a bond with his uncle Aaron, and with him gained a love for art, spray-painting graffiti around Brooklyn. Miles Morales was born to Jefferson Davis and Rio Morales and was raised in Brooklyn, New York, protected from supervillains and other threats by the famous superhero Spider-Man.
